Meet The Bowdry’s

Bo, Jess, Maverick, and Ryder. The four of us make up The Bowdry family! 

Bo is an amazing man with endless amounts of skill in literally everything! It’s almost annoying that he can do it all.. effortlessly.  He’s worked his ass off since 17 years old and continues to drive forward with an excellent work ethic. Despite a demanding day job, he comes home and puts up with my (I’m Jess... hello 👋) millions of plans and absolutely terrible drawings of our next projects!  He’s the plan maker, supply getter, builder, and installer of things! 

As mentioned above, I’m Jess. Wife, mom to two toddler boys (lord help me), full time employee, photographer, and decor and design enthusiasts! I love vintage things and home projects! I’ve spent a few years up-cycling and flipping vintage furniture and am now having a blast decorating our new home! I’m the designer, decorator, shopper, painter/stainer, and distresser! 

Maverick and Ryder are our sons! They are the best little turds we could ask for! In true toddler fashion, they are a handful and a half. They love to be in our personal spaces, so they will

be popping up in our pictures “helping” us build and paint. They are the mess makers!

We have recently moved from a craftsman home built in 1914  to a newer track home in a suburb neighborhood.  Our old house had tons of character and we kept the vintage theme throughout. In the new house we are changing things up and going with the ever popular Farmhouse style. We’re turning this city house into a cozy farmhouse... minus the barn and animals. However, our boys could pass as animals and our French Bulldog does smell like she lives in an actual barn... so it works! 

We started this blog to share our projects, flea market finds, furniture flips, and to showcase some of our favorite builders, designers, and decorators!
